By accessing and using LearnTrail ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

LearnTrail is a homeschool activity logging and reporting tool designed for Australian families. The App allows users to:

• Record and track educational activities
• Upload evidence of learning
• Generate compliance reports for Australian states and territories
• Plan weekly learning schedules
• Monitor learning progress across curriculum areas

3. User Accounts

To use the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring all information you provide is accurate and current
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all data you create and upload to the App, including activity logs, evidence, and reports.

5. User Content and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, and share through the App. You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Violate any laws or regulations in your use of the App
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our express written consent

6. Subscription and Payment

LearnTrail offers subscription-based access to premium features:

• Free Trial: New users receive a 14-day free trial period
• Subscription Plans: After the trial, continued access requires an active subscription
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Refunds: Refunds are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law

7. Compliance and Educational Use

LearnTrail is designed to assist with homeschool record-keeping and reporting. However:

• The App does not guarantee compliance with state or territory homeschooling regulations
• Users are responsible for ensuring their use meets their jurisdiction's requirements
• Generated reports should be reviewed and may require customization for official submission
• We recommend consulting your local education authority for specific compliance requirements

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by LearnTrail and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use our trademarks without written permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Use
• Provide false or misleading information
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Fail to pay subscription fees

Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
